About TEAM MEDELLIN
The team was founded in 2017 as an international project sponsored by the city of Medellín, with the aim of supporting young cycling in the country and participating in various races at national and international level.
In its first year of existence, the team achieved important victories in America and Europe, among the most important being the Colombian Time Trial Championship, the Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid, the Tour of Ankara and the Vuelta a Chili.
In 2018, the team participated in the Tour of Colombia where Ecuadorian cyclist Jonathan Caicedo was the Tour champion, being the first Ecuadorian and the fifth foreigner to win the race.
