The speed record in the Tour of Romania was approximately 49 km/h and was reported in the ‘70s. In this stage with a south wind, we may witness a new speed record. A strong and dense peleton will not even sweat along the Timișul de Sus climb from Predeal.

Stage profile

The Black Church is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran community in Brașov, located in the center of Brașov. It is one of the most representative monuments of Gothic architecture in Romania, dating from the XIV-XV centuries.

Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni, of great architectural, historical, documentary and artistic value, was built in 1911 at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino (Nababul), former Minister of Romania between 1899-1900, 1904-1907.

Peles Castle was built at the initiative of the first King of Romania, Carol I, outside the perimeter of Podul Neagului commune, a locality with an area of 24 km in 1874, year in which, at the initiative of the sovereign, the commune receives the name of Sinaia.
